Reflections & Future

After making the flights successfully, we can say that we are happy that everything went well. We know that there have been some problems during this first phase, such as the calibration of the ESCs or the crash of the Drone due to the Pitch, but we have solved them successfully and we have been able to carry out all the required activities. In this first phase, we have learned a lot about how to configure a Drone from scratch and very quickly, this indicates that we are capable of going further

Next step is phase 2. But first it is important to mention that in the subject Unmanned Aircraft that we are studying at the same time, we learned to use a controler in order to connect some components and control them with coding. So, we thing that a possibility to implement in the Drone is to use an Ultrasonic Sensor in order to avoid collisions. Also, in another subject called Payload, we are learning to process images using Python. So, an objective that we have is to implement both knowledge in order to make a good application for our Drone.

An improvement for the next phase is to correct the center of gravity of the Drone in order to maximise the stability. This is a good point that must be taken into account for the future because we are going to use sensors and cameras, and the flight has to be as stable as possible.
